For Master of Social Work, prospective applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or they must be a graduate of the Diploma in Social Work. A GWA of 2.0 or better from the previous degree is also a requirement for the Master’s program. However, those with GWA lower than 2.0 may still apply but will be given a probationary status. This status will be cleared once they achieve a grade of 2.0 or better in the first 12 units of their MSW studies.
Interested applicants with a degree other than social work may also apply first to the Diploma in Social Work and can opt to proceed to MSW. There are no grade requirements for DSW, however should students wish to continue to MSW, they must have a GWA of 2.0 or better upon graduation from DSW.
